Your Heart Knows the Answer — Book Review
Filed under: book and product reviews, inspiration, motivation, quotes

Now imagine that you are standing at the top of your very own mountain,
looking out at a beautiful vista, with a three-hundred-sixty-degree view. Before
you, off in the distance, lie fulfillment, contentment, such as you’ve never
known. All your dreams and sacred lessons-experiences that will enable you to
grow wiser, stronger, and more loving-hang suspended before your very eyes.
Then a silver cloud appears, like a loving finger, beckoning you to move
forward, to take that leap, to claim the experiences that your heart knows
belong to you. Yet, even as the finger beckons, "Come," you know there are no
guarantees. You stand on the mountaintop wondering what to do…
Then you realize that your heart knows the
answer.
Those are the words, that paint the picture of a choice that you’ve made
when you decide to pick up Your Heart Knows the Answer, by Gail
Harris.
Your Heart Knows the Answer delivers on its promise to explain why
you should listen to your heart but how to listen. It is detailed in two parts,
the first describes the ways one can get to know and hear the voice of her
heart, and the second details the prayers and ceremonies that women can perform
alone or in groups that will help them to listen and learn from that voice.
Here is what Gail had to say about her book:
Tim: In the book there is a section where you talk about ‘engaging in the experience’ meaning the meditations and ceremonies that you’ve outlined in the book. Can the spouse or significant other in the reader’s life help the process of finding their voice. Or is it mostly an internal experience?
The spouse or significant other in a persons’ life can help by being open and honoring the reader’s process, in whatever way called for. This may entail lending and ear, or understanding if she needs to NOT talk about her process for awhile, or at all. They can support the reader by undertanding that she may need some time to herself to work with the book, and encourage her to trust what her heart knows to be true. Working with Your Heart Knows the Answer IS an internal experience. As one’s internal experience transforms, the outer experience will transform, as well.
Tim: Your Heart Knows the Answer is aimed at women, and especially those who are seeking answers, but can men also read these pages and gain insight into their own hearts?
Absolutely. I originally wrote the book for women, but the principles in it also pertain to ment. Since the book has been published and I’ve addressed alot of groups, I’ve met many men who have read and are benefiting from the book, as well. To quote one of my male reviewers from Amazon.com, "Honestly, I don’t read many books, but this was so inspiring and eye-opening that I couldn’t put it down. I’ve always been one to ‘do what I’m supposed to do’, always think with my head and don’t ‘rock the boat’. I don’t think enough people truly stop to listen to the voice of their heart or do what makes them passionate_. Being in touch with your heart will help you recognize those opportunities and embrace them. After reading this book and sharing this experience with the special person who I originally read it for, whats truly in my heart will always be my first priority. What Gail points out is that often the answers to the things we struggle with, are right there inside of us, and if we take the time to really listen to what our hearts say, we will discover that for ourselves. I would definitely recommend this book to both women and men who want to get in touch with who they really are inside."
Tim: Gail, after reading your book I can feel that each of the words on every page came straight from your heart. Does becoming that and geting to know your ‘higher self’ take a long time?
It takes a second/ it takes a lifetime. In other words, when you gain the skill to recognize your heart’s messages by learning to distinguish them from outside influences, you can hear what your heart is telling you in any given instant. (Doing a "Your Heart Knows Affirmation, a skill I teach in the book for recieving a message from your heart, can help.) However, hearing your heart’s messages and becoming the best person you can be (your higher self) is a process that unfolds as you live your life with your inner wisdom as your guild. You can’t rush the process, because the process is YOUR LIFE UNFOLDING. But by trusting your heart and acting on its promptings, you will be assured to discover and live your life as you truly are: YOUR HIGHER SELF.
Gail’s book is indead worth the time invested in reading it.
Live well and love often.
