I remember having a conversation with Liz shortly after I was informed I was chosen to co-author two books and that when the time came, I’d be in prime position to publish a book of my own. For a time I was ecstatic but then it hit me.

Two books.

An unbelievable amount of work goes into a single book. How was I going to be responsible for two books, let alone the visibility it would afford me (something I wasn’t prepared for at the time).

Two words rang in my head…

In the conversation I was having with Liz she pointed me to the video above(Steve Farber’s Pursue the OS!M), saying this could be a thought to hold on too.

Every time I feel that familiar pang in my chest and the OS! screaming at me from the back of my mind, I remember Steve’s words.

There is no personal growth OR Leadership without the OS!M.

In fact, they’ve become my guiding light.

Even as my conscious mind is having a OS! moment, I realize I’m on the right track.

Find those moments.

Go after them with everything you have. Never mind the fact that you’re scared. Who isn’t? Those moments are the precursor to learning new things. Without learning you cannot grow. And without growth you cannot truly live.
