Widgets and Information Distribution

Get this widget!

I’ll be the first to tell you: When it comes to widgets and gadgets for marketing purposes I’m not really the first one to jump. The widget I came across on Logic+Emotion changed the way I look at widgets.

David expresses it well: Here’s the long and short of it–if you’re going to produce content in any future effort, you MUST have a distribution strategy that factors in a healthy mix of RSS, widgets and support for multiple digital touch points and networks. Well, you don’t have to–but more people will probably see your content if you do.

He’s dead on.

The folks at cobrandit and this widget makes your distribution efforts much less cumbersome.

Again: You can find it here.

  1. hey tim-
thanks for the commentary on the widget…however for it to work you’ve got to embed the widget code, not just the url. the screen you’ve linked to will allow you to size it to fit your blog (and change colors to match if you want), then click on html, or myspace, or whatever to generate code for your site. copy and paste, there ya go.

    cheers-
    owen

  2. Thanks for the tip, Owen. I’ve got the widget embedded just where I want it. My intent here was to inform others of the widget so they could make use of it themselves!

Glad I could help spread the word.
