Blogging has developed somewhat of a cult fanfare in the area of blogging to make money. Can we make money from publishing our thoughts, ideas and innovations on the wacky web? If its possible, how and what steps should be taken?

This is exactly what Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett set out to answer.

I have been a reader of Darren’s Problogger for almost as long as I’ve been blogging and recently was turned on to Chris Garrett through SobCon08. Having a history of reading Darren’s work for almost a couple years and being familiar with Chris’, it wasn’t to difficult of a leap to consider buying their book–The Problogger Book.

Simply put, the book is packed full of information, from start to finish. They cover everything from brainstorming niches, blog platforms, having an overall plan, advertising, advertising models, content creation and so much more. They also devote chapters to marketing, and the buying/selling of blogs.

If you are even the least bit familiar with these two and you have an interest in developing an income from a blog, I highly recommend picking up The Problogger Book. Its clean, easy to read and everything you need to know about blogging is shared in a concise manner which doesn’t drowned you in unnecessary discussion.

From my perspective, as someone who has generated income from blogging with moderate and continued growth, I was most impressed by the fact that they go out of their way to express that blogging is in no way a sure thing. Blogging–like any other kind of project to create an income stream–takes time, effort and sweat equity.

Kudos to you both for telling it straight!
