Royal Caribbean International Breaks MLM Ties

The Association of Retail Travel Agents (ARTA) applauded the announcement by Royal Caribbean International (RCI) that it will terminate relationships with multi-level marketers (MLMs) which provide travel agency credentials and identity cards to consumers for the purpose of becoming would-be “travel agents.”

Royal Caribbean has decided to terminate their connection to MLMs/Card Mills. I know of two companies affected by this: YTB and Joystar

There is another company who also received notice of the termination but I myself haven’t been notified of it.

Opinions vary on this subject but its bringing a lot of attention to the marketing used by many referring travel agents and the mlm travel side of the travel industry.

It will be interesting to see how the companies affected by RCI’s decision will respond going forward.

  1. RCCL will be pleading with YTB to take THEM back. Ok….some of the BIGGEST network marketing companies LIKE Mary Kay, Tupperware and Herbal Life asked that their members NOT use RCCL. Looks like RCCL’s decision to “terminate YTB” has bitten them in the EFFING arce! They are to be pittied and their stupid decision is going to cost them BIG TIME! LOL, HA AH!
