Lessons of the Bulletproof Monk

Bulletproof Monk - The Movie

Thoughts are things.

It took me awhile to really comprehend exactly what that meant for me and everyone else around me. Our thoughts shape our lives and can have an effect on the people around us in return.

I was reminded of this recently while watching a movie called Bulletproof Monk.

Near the beginning of the movie, Jade, interacts with the female villian (Nina). The cover for the bad guys is a organization poised to do good for the world. The scene depicts Nina giving a presentation to a room full of people.

The hall is full of pictures depicting atrocities of all kinds and Jade takes note of them. Our heroin stops and asks Nina why she shows pictures of devastation. Why not pictures of good will?

Good question isn’t it? If the way we think attracts are the opportunities, events and problems into our lives wouldn’t it make sense to think good thoughts?

Think back to the events of your life. What was your frame of mind at the times when you encountered both good and bad? I’m willing to bet your thoughts and feelings coincide with the events in your life.

Maybe you’ve been attracting good things into your life and maybe you haven’t. No matter where you are in your life it’s very important for you to open your mind give it some thought. Literally.

Each day when you wake, take the time to think about and be thankful for the good in your life. Visualize yourself feeling good, exploring the things you want to see in your life. Think good thoughts and feel good. I promise you, the results will amaze you.
