I’m Always Questioning Myself

I knew the costs of starting a business and knew that even though
starting a business the network marketing way, it would still have its
own unique costs. This was all clear to me, but after the first month
I realized that I didn’t really know why I was doing it. Or what drew me
to network marketing as opposed to any of the other opportunities that
were out there. I began to think on this and realized that I wanted 3
things most of all.

First I wanted to be my own boss; secondly, I
wanted to grow, explore, and try new things (believe me, if there was
ever a self help program network marketing is it–a self help program
with a compensation plan attached); and lastly, the most important
reason I had for getting involved is that I enjoy helping people and building relationships with them.

In my last post, Three Words, I talked about the importance of knowing what you want and then asking yourself questions as a means of getting there. The example I used in that post pertained to changing ones perspective from a negative one to a positive but the options are limitless.

Knowing why you want the car, the house or to leave your current job is critical to your success because if you don’t understand why you want something you have no bearing or foundation for your plans.

For example, if you want to change your perspective of the world you should be asking yourself why–as well as questions like the Three Words question.

Q; Are you doing it for you or because someone else thinks you need an attitude adjustment?
A: Well, no, <insert name here> keeps telling me that I’m distant, angry and that nobody likes me.

Q: Is he right?
A: No, he is misleading me for his own reasons.

I should also mention that its very important that you are honest with yourself. I’m talking about an internal dialog you will be having with yourself. There isn’t anyone other that you and God that will know what takes place and how you answer the questions that come up.

Save time and effort, be true to yourself.
