I recently met Deb from G’s Cottage last week when she commented on one of my blog posts. She’s a kind, warm-hearted and finding her way in life and I just think thats awesome.
She wrote a review about me and Live Your Best Life at G’s Cottage.
Deb, if I could say just one thing. You have no idea how happy it makes me to hear you’re recognizing patterns in your introversion. To many people consider it a bad thing and a hindrance.
Be proud of who you are. I am

That’s not fair, you made me cry. [okay, made is too strong a word]
If you knew how long it has taken me to figure out that introversion was not just another fault of mine in need of fixing.
But it is your statement “kind, warm-hearted” that sent me over the edge. I have so much trouble communicating the warmth and kindness I have inside to those around me. It meant a great deal to hear that somebody “got it.”
Thank you,
Deb

Deb - Believe me, I understand. I am 32 years old and it took me 30 years to realize introversion wasn’t a disease. After all the years of being told I had to change, told I was two-faced, and so much more I finally realized my introversion gave me a unique opportunity to see what others miss.
As you know, with introversion comes an innate ability to look within and be introspective. We know ourselves and can talk ourselves through things on a much deeper level than extroverts because they spend time in the outside world.
When I realized my introvert qualities were a gift, and not a problem, I was able to shift my thinking and use those qualities to become the person I am today.
We’ll always have some introversion in us but it doesn’t have to hinder us. Its a gift and you can learn from it. Extroverts who are highly successful or wish to be know the benefit of being introspective. They learned to develop that quality because it is a critical part of personal growth, and personal growth is a big part of success in business.
And lastly, certainly did ‘get it’. By nature I am very much in tone with who people are and what they are feeling. I can talk to someone for a short period of time and have a very good sense of their character or lack there of.
I sensed your kindness immediately and I’m willing to bet a lot of others do too. They just aren’t communicating it or don’t know how too.
Most of the people in my life didn’t know how to communicate it either.
Keep smiling!
Tim
