Decision Making: What Will You Do to Take Action?

Deciding to focusing on the things you value is the summation of the previous steps for having control over the direction of our lives. However, the final step is the key to the kingdom. Before you can be, do and have these things you must take action.

If you don’t move once you’ve decided on a course of action you’ll find your level of commitment to the decision isn’t as high as you thought.

Going back to the story from my original post in in this decision making series, How One Decision Changed My Life, if I hadn’t felt a commitment to my decision (the decision not to quit) I eventually would have quit.

Dropped out.

Bye Bye, Tom.

I never would have met Matt Jamieson.

I never would have been involved in the projects I’m now working on.

And most importantly, my level of enthusiasm for life would have returned to its bottoming out state.

Taking action created the one thing which helped me stay the course–results.

Results came from my use of the system I was taught.

A system I had been looking for from day one.

With those lessons in hand and the commitment to make it happen I became more and more certain with each passing day.

Not only did I feel it, I could see it.

But again, if I hadn’t taken action everything would have fallen apart.

Many coaches, trainers and consultants will tell you to do just 5 or 10 things towards your goals each and every day but I’m going to get down to an even more basic level.

I’m willing to bet, if you take action at least once per day, you will attract those things you want into your life. You’ll see results, feel good for accomplishing something and continue to move onward.

The time it takes you to get there may be more OR less than the next person but who cares, its YOUR journey–not theirs.

It all starts with a decision. Make the decision.

You’re worth it and I know you can do it.
